Baland Iqbal is a thinker, writer, media journalist, and physician. He practices Internal Medicine in Ontario and is currently practicing at Norfolk General Hospital. He graduated in Medicine from Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. He did his post-graduation from New York Medical College, New York, and his Fellowship from Oregon Health Sciences University, USA. Other than writing Urdu fiction, he enjoys philosophical, political, social, and psychological topics for discussion in South Asian TV channels in Canada. He is the author of Angel’s Tears (Short Stories), My 51 Short Stories, All are my Love Letters (Articles), Broken Wall (Novel), and The Missing Pages (Novel). His academic discussions with Dr. Khalid Sohail have been recently transcribed by Abdul Sattar in “In Search of Wisdom”, published in 2021. Two other collections of his work covering interviews on academic subjects with Dr. Mubarak Ali were published in 2017: “Andaz-e-Bian” and “Tareeq ki Chao Mey”.
